Modulaire Group acquires Carter Accommodation Ltd

Hot on the heels of its purchase of Advanté Ltd in December, the Modulaire Group has today announced the acquisition of Norfolk-based Carter Accommodation Ltd. The move reinforces the Group’s commitment to growing its UK operations.

Carter is a leading regional portable and modular accommodation hire business, with a modern fleet of around 6,000 units. Founded in 1988, the business focuses on quality of service and has built up a significant customer base. Its products have high fire performance and energy-saving specifications, making them suitable for city locations. Carter is best known for its Containex product, which along with Elliott’s Moduflex has raised standards in the site accommodation hire market.

Carter’s experienced management team will remain with the business and will operate alongside  Elliott and Advanté in the Modulaire Group.

John Campbell, Elliott Group’s Managing Director, said:

I am delighted that Carter has joined the Elliott and Modulaire family. It’s a well-respected, well-invested and well-run business, with a proposition that complements the Elliott offering perfectly. Both businesses are well positioned to capitalise on the market opportunities that exist in the UK.

Darren Arnold, Carter Accommodation’s Chief Executive Officer, said:

This is fantastic news for everyone at Carter. Being part of the Modulaire Group offers greater stability, security, and huge opportunities to all existing employees who have helped the business to get to where it is today. It feels very much like the right fit for the business, so I am very excited about our future.

What next for Elliott and the Modulaire Group in 2021?
