New year, new Employees of the Month

We’ve started the new year on a high – by awarding six members of staff from across all different parts of Algeco UK with Employee of the Month status.

Let’s take a look at who they are…

Employee of the month #1: Sarah Lacey, Dispatch Manager, Bridgend

Sarah has been a member of our transport/logistics team for more than 7.5 years. She shares her valuable experience and knowledge with her colleagues to help them with their planning and maintain compliance every day.

More recently, there were some changes and gaps in the team due to staff sickness. Sarah really stepped up and played an invaluable role in supporting our operations across the South West. Despite covering extra locations, she dealt with any challenges that came her way swiftly and with the utmost professionalism. At the same time, she continued to strive to deliver the best possible customer service.

Employee of the month #2: Robbie Miller, Services Manager, Scotland  

Robbie continuously works hard and makes sure our customers receive the best possible service, despite some recent organisational changes. He has helped recruit additional team members and, in addition to doing his day job, has visited customers to make sure projects are progressing according to plan. He has also managed our third party suppliers, co-ordinated installations and supported large flex projects for other regional project managers.

Keen to always find a solution, Robbie is open to suggestions and sharing best practice with the wider team, which has resulted in him being regularly praised by our customers.

Employee of the month #3: Clair Hardy, Key Accounts Director, Wakefield

Clair received numerous nominations for all of her help and work on the EQUANS account. Her friendly and professional approach has enabled everything to run smoothly.

Here’s what one of her colleagues has to say: “Clair has been an invaluable asset to our teams. Her contributions have directly resulted in significant growth within our key accounts, benefiting both our businesses and, most importantly, our clients.

“Clair consistently demonstrates a supportive and collaborative spirit. When challenges arise, she approaches them with respect and professionalism, always working diligently to find the best possible solutions that benefit both the client and our business.”

Employee of the month #4: Natasha Leighton, Service Centre Manager for Thurrock

Tash has a wealth of knowledge within the business, which she has extensively used to help current and new colleagues with business processes.

She is customer-focussed and always goes that extra mile to delight our customers. A detail-orientated person, Tash sees the bigger picture and works with other teams to not just meet, but exceed targets.

In recent days, she has helped cover three urgent requests that were sent to other service centres and had to be delivered quicker than our standard lead time. Tash was able to provide viable solutions that fully met our customers’ requirements.

Employee of the month #5: Zak Thorpe, Regional Service Engineer, Southampton

Zak joined our South West Regional Service Engineering Team at the start of last year and has been willing and eager to do his best and complete all of his tasks from day one.

He completed his NVQ in record time and always goes above and beyond for our customers. Reliable and trustworthy, Zak’s contribution to the team is massive – he always steps up to support his colleagues and deliver for our customers. While the team may have been taking part in consultation in relation to the way they work; Zak has been extremely professional in making sure our customers are not impacted in any way.

Employee of the month #6: Dawn Adams, Area Sales Manager, Poole

Dawn has been with us for around four months and has already secured some great business within this short period of time. She has got to grips with her role and settled into the team extremely well, effectively throwing herself in at the deep end.

She has just secured a major project, which may have been a huge learning curve, but she got the job done and won the order, which is not only sizeable, but incorporates the vast majority of our products.
