Employee of the Month: November round-up
Another month, another batch of Algeco UK employees, who have been recognised for all of their hard work and effort by becoming our latest Employees of the Month.
As always, deciding who to award Employee of the Month status to wasn’t easy, but after much deliberation, the following three talented colleagues from across all different parts of the company were selected. Keep reading for all of the details on why they deserved to win…
Employee of the month #1: Don Jones, Electrical Design Engineer
Don has been crowned one of our November winners because of his outstanding commitment to safety. He truly embodies our core company value of ‘we are safe and ethical, always.’
During a recent visit to our service centre in Liverpool, Don noticed that some routine maintenance work was just about to start that could have posed a safety risk. With Don’s guidance, the operative made sure they had the correct tools and equipment for the task, completed all of the necessary safety checks, and verified that no colleagues could be inadvertently endangered during the work.
Don’s outstanding commitment to safety meant he did not simply walk by, but took the time to stop, assess and make sure everyone remained safe. His actions demonstrate a level of responsibility and care that sets a strong example for us all.
Employee of the month #2: Helen Shires, Key Accounts Internal Sales
Helen recently joined our Key Accounts Internal Sales Team after doing an excellent job working for our Regional Accounts. She has gotten off to a flying start.
She has quickly learnt how to put complex larger projects together, including Moduflex and CTX, with a full turnkey service. Helen has also forged great relationships with her customers and all of her colleagues in an incredibly short space of time.
Helen’s numbers speak for themselves too - in November alone, she provided quotes for a record-breaking number of units and placed orders for 200+ units.
Employee of the month #3: Richard Robinson, Assistant Manufacturing Manager
Richard is the longest-serving member of the team at our Carnaby site. His experience is invaluable and has particularly shone through in recent weeks.
He tirelessly helped one of his colleagues complete a fire risk assessment in November, which resulted in them producing an excellent piece of work. Richard also stepped in and assisted with an insurance risk survey - he prepared the necessary folders in advance, which helped the inspection run smoothly and led to the risk surveyor praising his work.
On top of this, Richard prepared for some wider inspections in addition to carrying out his day-to-day duties.
