Investors in People Award Winners - Best People Team
We’re delighted to announce that Algeco (formerly Elliott UK) was announced as the winner of Best People Team at The Investors in People Awards 2021!
We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of our fantastic team, our trusted clients, partners, the judging panel at the Awards and Investors in People.
While we came up against some tough competition, it was the engagement from our entire business in putting our people priorities first that won us the award.
In a particularly turbulent year which has involved acquisitions (both ways), significant business growth and dealing with the aftermaths of both COVID and Brexit, we were able to gain buy in for our priorities and engage the whole business in putting people front and centre of what we do.
Ben McCann, HR Director commented:
“I could not be more proud of this wonderful team. Having joined the team at the end of last year, it has been a pleasure to support them through a transformational year. We’ve had involvement from the whole business through this time and it’s a real indictment of the strides we’re making as a team and as a business to receive this award.”
As a company, we’ve experienced many challenges including the COVID-19 impact on construction, supporting the NHS, acquiring 3 businesses and being acquired and the materials shortages impacting the whole construction supply chain at the moment.
We’ve also had plenty of wins that gave us the confidence to enter The Investors in People Awards, we’ve grown organically, improved the engagement of our colleagues, and developed our management teams whilst investing in wellbeing and improving retention.
Paul Devoy, Investors in People, commented:
“The Investors in People Awards 2021 was a recording break year in regards to the number of entries and number of organisation entering, so for every organisation that won, your win will taste a little bit sweeter!
I am so proud of every organisation that entered this year, demonstrating their fantastic commitment to making work better. And as a Winner, Algeco really stands out amongst the crowd. A huge well done to all involved!”
We’ll be using the award to showcase our commitment to engaging, developing and retaining our people, as well as challenging ourselves to build on this and be even better next year.
The Investors in People Awards is all about recognising the organisations and individuals committed to making work better for their people. We look forward to defending our crown in 2022!
