Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust: Two Storey Unit
The Challenge
Design and build the prestigious new two storey Clinical Support Unit (Opthalmology) at Pinderfields Hospital in a timely manner.
Our Solution
The permanent building, housing an advanced eye clinic and state-of-the-art office space, was constructed using the latest Ibex steel frame modular building system, allowing large elements to be completed off-site.
The rapid construction schedule minimised disruption to the hospital environment and offered service users access to the ophthalmology unit at the earliest opportunity.
The design includes increased levels of insulation, low energy lighting, energy efficient heating systems and water saving technology. The façade is a combination of facing brick, render and Trespa panels.
