Meet our July Employees of the Month
As a market-leading supplier of portable and modular buildings across the UK and Europe, we’re incredibly proud to have some of the best industry talent around working for us.
Our one-team approach is pivotal to our ongoing development and success, and is something we proactively celebrate company-wide with initiatives, including Employee of the Month.
Last month (July), we had the pleasure of awarding four employees from different parts of the business with this status. Each and every one of them has excelled within their roles, reinforcing our ‘We Work Together’ value and making Algeco UK a great place to work in the process. Let’s take a look at this extremely talented group in closer detail…
Employee of the month #1: Danielle Williams, HR Assistant
We recently made some changes to the way our payroll operates, which involved migrating to a new system. Danielle played a pivotal role in navigating and progressing the project, stepping up and offering the required support without any hesitation.
Without her help, we would not have been able to deliver the programme within the required timescales. Danielle worked on P11Ds, updated managers, changed shift patterns and single-handedly helped close around 1,600 emails in June and a further 1,000 emails in July.
Employee of the month #2: Sunil Achtar, Marketing Manager
Sunil has been a breath of fresh air since joining us, thanks to his enthusiasm and ‘can do’ attitude, which has been widely recognised company-wide. A real team player, Sunil has been vital in generating all of the communications that has been required to keep everybody updated at all levels as we’ve moved through integration during recent months.
Whatever the project, Sunil works at speed to deliver for the business and always does this with high energy, a positive outlook and to the highest standard.
Employee of the month #3: Colin Groom, Yard Foreman
Colin is Yard Foreman at our site in Manningtree in Essex. He worked tirelessly throughout July, keeping everything going and bridging the gap during staff shortages.
He went above and beyond without any hesitation - from cleaning and painting to fitting sinks; all on top of carrying out his day job and making sure customers’ units went out on time and as required.
Employee of the month #4: Jai Purewal, Marketing Executive
Jai recently joined our marketing team and has settled in remarkably well, building relationships with key stakeholders and delivering some outstanding pieces of work, which included supporting our conference in July. Within his first two weeks, he’d also completed his volunteering contribution with the marketing team at RMCH by cleaning windows, doors and toilets.
He's also helped relaunch some key internal projects and has put himself forward as an Engagement Champion in his quest to make Algeco UK a better place to work for the entire workforce.
All of our Employees of the Month receive credits that they can exchange for items/digital gift cards within our rewards and recognition platform.
