We're Hiring: Senior Business Application Analyst (Business Central) – £70,000–£80,000
Algeco UK is looking for a Senior Business Application Analyst with expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to drive improvements across our core systems. If you’re confident configuring, supporting and developing Business Central to streamline financial and operational processes – this could be the ideal next step.

To provide expert-level support, development and continuous improvement of our core business applications – with a particular focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role will ensure that Business Central is effectively supporting our UK business operations, with a focus on Finance, Operations and OSS. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the system is stable, scalable and delivering value.

• Act as the lead subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central within the UK business.
• Provide advanced user support, issue resolution and process guidance specifically around Business Central and its financial and operational modules.
• Drive system enhancements and process improvements, working with stakeholders to simplify and standardise ways of working through Business Central.
• Lead on Business Central change projects – from gathering requirements through to testing and implementation.
• Liaise with third-party support providers to manage incidents, upgrades and ongoing development work.
• Maintain a strong understanding of how Business Central integrates with other key systems such as InspHire and Sungard GetPaid.
• Ensure user documentation, training materials and test scripts for Business Central are kept up to date and fit for purpose.
• Work in collaboration with the wider IT team and business functions to align system capabilities with business objectives.
• Regularly review system performance and usage, identifying opportunities for optimisation or simplification.

• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – including configuration, workflows, and financial process support.
• Experience supporting and improving ERP platforms in a commercial environment – ideally within the hire, rental or leasing space.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to resolving system issues and delivering enhancements.
• Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Commercial teams.
• Experience working with third-party vendors to manage support, upgrades and project delivery.
• Comfortable translating business needs into system requirements and delivering practical solutions.
• Familiarity with related systems such as InspHire or Sungard GetPaid is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Teams etc.) and experience with SQL or Crystal Reports is desirable.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
