WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week.
Salary: £35,734.40
Company benefits, sociable hours + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and overtime paid at time and a half.
PURPOSE
Your purpose is to lead and inspire a team of fitters, driving excellence in craftsmanship, efficiency, and safety. By providing guidance, training, and support to your team, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Together, you will create exceptional modular solutions that meet our customers' needs and exceed their expectations.

Algeco UK is the leader in modular accommodation not only in the UK but around the world. We provide more buildings for hire than anyone else, including modular buildings for sale and rent, and off-site permanent buildings for sale for temporary, semi-permanent and permanent use.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspire and engage operatives, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work requirements and providing guidance when needed, fostering a sense of shared purpose and commitment.
- Lead by example in all aspects of the role, including actively getting involved in the maintenance and repair of cabins, demonstrating your hands-on expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive excellence in performance by monitoring operatives' speed and quality of work, delivering constructive feedback, and empowering them to reach their full potential.
- Lead the charge in achieving operational efficiency targets, motivating and guiding staff to maximise productivity and optimise processes, making each project a resounding success.
- Proactively communicate any issues related to staff performance or material shortages to the Production Manager, working collaboratively to overcome challenges and maintain seamless operations.
- Collaborate closely with tradespeople, offering valuable support and assistance, leveraging your expertise in general maintenance skills and proficient use of power tools.
- Uphold and exceed Algeco's stringent quality standards, continuously checking and working in alignment with customer expectations, creating a lasting impression of excellence in every project.
- Foster a strong health and safety culture within the team, promoting awareness, compliance, and accountability for maintaining a safe working environment.
